A Legacy Rooted in the Cederberg
The Red T Company was born in 1995 on Nooitgedacht farm in the Clanwilliam district,at the very heart of the world's only Rooibos-growing region.
The Cederberg's sharply defined sandstone formations and clear skies make it an exceptional region. With hot, dry summers and cold, wet winters, it creates the perfect conditions for cultivating Rooibos,a plant that grows nowhere else on the planet.
From humble beginnings producing rooibos on the farm, we expanded in 2000 to include processing and packaging, establishing deep relationships with growers across the region. Today, we're known as the most dynamic boutique company in the Rooibos industry.

The Rooibos Journey
From tiny seeds collected by ants to the perfect cup of tea,every step is a testament to nature's genius and our 30 years of expertise.
Seed Collection
Ants collect and store tiny Rooibos seeds underground. Farmers harvest from abandoned ant nests,nature's own seed bank.
Cultivation
Seeds are sown in February–March in the Cederberg's sandy, acidic soils. The first harvest comes after 18 months of growth under the African sun.
Harvesting & Oxidation
Plants are cut to 30cm during summer. The leaves are chopped, bruised, and left to oxidise,developing that distinctive deep amber colour and sweet flavour.
Sun Drying
Spread across drying courts under the Cederberg sun, the rooibos develops its final colour, aroma, and flavour profile naturally.
Processing & Quality
Steam pasteurisation, grading, and rigorous quality control at our HACCP-certified facility ensure every batch meets international standards.
Packaging & Delivery
From bulk containers to beautifully branded retail packages, our rooibos is packed and shipped to over 50 countries worldwide.
