Born in the Cederberg
The Red T Company was established in 1995 on Nooitgedacht farm in the Clanwilliam district,a region where the ancient art of Rooibos cultivation has been practised for generations.
Clanwilliam sits approximately 230 kilometres from Cape Town at the base of the majestic Cederberg mountain range. The area is defined by hot, dry summers, cold wet winters, and annual rainfall under 700mm,the perfect conditions for Rooibos to thrive.
From our roots as a farm producer, we expanded in 2000 to include state-of-the-art processing and packaging plants. This vertical integration,from seed to shelf,means we maintain quality control at every stage, ensuring consistent excellence in every batch.
Three Decades of Growth
The Beginning
The Red T Company is founded on Nooitgedacht farm in the Clanwilliam district. We begin producing quality rooibos tea straight from the Cederberg.
Expansion
We expand operations to include processing and packaging plants, becoming a fully vertically integrated rooibos company,seed to shelf.
International Growth
Our rooibos reaches markets across Europe, Asia, and the Americas. Deep relationships with growers strengthen our supply chain.
EU PDO Recognition
Rooibos receives EU Protected Designation of Origin,the first African food product to achieve this prestigious status, alongside Champagne and Parmigiano-Reggiano.
30 Years Strong
